Full Moon  Standing on the roof of my home, preparing to shoot the moon at a 400mm focal length, I paused - my eyes staring through the lens absorbing the immense light of the full moon and all of its craters and imperfections focusing to the perfect exposure. It was then, before my finger pressed down on the shutter release, that I realized although its light was bright and beautiful, on the other side lay it's darker side hidden from view, but alive in all of its desolate glory shrouding its secrets in darkness. It was at that very moment that I realized we aren't so different...
